At the age of 11, after finishing school, he joined the Gonzaga Barros company to learn the art of carving, his true passion, mentored by a company artisan locally known as “Paredes.” Subsequently, he established himself independently and continued to practice his craft until, around 1989, the art of carving began to decline, forcing him to seek alternatives.
It was during this transition period that he discovered a new path in marquetry to continue working with wood. Gradually, he mastered the technique, perfecting it and innovating. Today, he collaborates with major local companies, architects, engineers, and decorators.
