Known locally as Mr. Fialho, he started his career at José Pereira company, where he learned the trade from the man who was considered the best local master at the time. He then worked for J. Venda’s company, later establishing his own business to unleash his entrepreneurial spirit. Driven by curiosity, he even acquired art books in France to expand his knowledge and skills.
In 1980, he founded Os Móveis Fialho company, initially dedicated to carving and sculpture. Due to market demands, the business evolved into the production of period furniture and restoration using noble woods and rosewood, with almost all production destined for export to the European market, especially France and Spain.
