Fernando Rios

The workshop passed through the hands of an emigrant father, three brothers, and several workers. Today, it is Fernando Rios who keeps alive the woodturning tradition that the family built.

He began working around the age of 12, at a time when all children contributed to the household’s livelihood; from a very young age, he helped with the manual tasks his mother performed. Of the three brothers, the eldest eventually took over the business while their father was working abroad, and during that period, the three of them kept the workshop active. Upon the father’s return, the business expanded, eventually employing two brothers-in-law and several workers.

After his father’s retirement, Fernando continued to work with his brothers. Later, with the passing of one brother and the departure of the other to start his own business, he assumed full responsibility for the workshop.
